Supply Chain Decarbonisation: Learnings in Australia
More companies are committing to reach net-zero emissions, with over 5,000 businesses across regions and industries setting emissions reduction targets validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Net zero is a team effort and cannot be achieved without addressing Scope 3 emissions, which represent 75% of emissions across all sectors. Emissions in supply chains are a key lever companies have to reduce scope 3 emissions; supply chain decarbonization programs play a critical role in achieving net zero targets.
As part of our webinar series focused on sustainability, Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business held a live discussion on supply chain decarbonisation with a panel of our sustainability solution experts and a client partner. We explored the business case for a supply chain decarbonisation program; why we should care and how significant it has become, especially as climate-related financial disclosures are now mandatory in Australia.
In this webinar, you’ll uncover valuable insights as we discuss the supply chain decarbonisation challenges faced by C-suite, from data management to supplier engagement, as well as from initial planning to the point of impact. As we engaged in a live conversation with a client partner, you’ll hear first-hand on how these challenges were navigated and managed, as well as Schneider Electric’s own story as we work with over 1000 suppliers in our award-winning Zero Carbon Project.
Supply chain decarbonisation is a large and complex undertaking for many companies, and through this webinar, you’ll take away lessons learned from the front-line experience including best practices, novel ideas, and mistakes to avoid. We’ve also touched on key considerations of designing and implementing a solid decarbonisation plan, along with the ‘why’, ‘what’ and ‘how’ of a robust supplier engagement model.
