What is ESG?

The term, ESG, is rising in importance for businesses around the world. Investors, customers, and other stakeholders are increasingly interested in a company’s performance and transparency in ESG, but what does it really mean? E-S-G stands for environmental, social, and governance. Together, these letters represent an entity’s behavior on environmental issues, its engagement with society, and the strength of its governance programs.
