Making an Impact Beyond the Ice: Schneider Electric Partners with PWHL as the Official Partner for Energy Management
Schneider Electric is pleased to announce a partnership with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), as the Official Partner for Energy Management. The PWHL, a premier women’s hockey league, dropped the puck on its inaugural season in January, bringing together the best players from around the world across six teams in Toronto, Ottawa, New York, Montreal, Minnesota, and Boston.
Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business is at the core of this multi-year partnership to help the PWHL achieve its goal of becoming a sustainable league. Schneider Electric will provide sustainability consulting services to the league, developing a decarbonization roadmap for its operations and across its value chain.
This collaboration between Schneider Electric and PWHL is paving the way for a greener future in sports, demonstrating the power of sports as a “unifying tool to drive climate awareness and action among global citizens,” as outlined in the Sports for Climate Action Framework.
This partnership goes beyond Schneider Electric’s sustainability DNA – it also supports a shared ambition for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Since the start of the 2024 season, the PWHL has been continuously making history in professional women’s hockey by breaking attendance records and inspiring younger generations, especially girls, to pursue their dreams in sports. The league’s efforts are not only shaping the future of women's hockey, but also championing equality and empowerment through the sport.
As this partnership progresses, further updates and milestones on PWHL's sustainability journey will be shared. Learn more about the global announcement here.
