Schneider CEO Speaks at COP26 Launch of Net Zero Carbon Cities Toolbox

November 5, 2021

During a launch event at COP26 hosted by Accenture, the Net Zero Carbon Cities (NZCC) Program presented a toolbox for urban energy transitions. This digital platform comprises policy, business, and finance models that result in reduced emissions from over 110 cities around the world. The solutions address clean electrification, efficiency, and smart infrastructure across sectors including energy, buildings, and mobility.

Schneider Electric is a partner of the NZCC program, and is proud to introduce the toolbox during this event at the COP26 climate summit. In his overview, Jean-Pascale Tricoire highlighted the importance of cities for decarbonization, as 60% of today’s greenhouse gas emissions come from cities with a rapidly growing share due to urbanization. In partnership with technology experts like Schneider Electric, solutions can be developed and deployed at scale to accelerate urban decarbonization.
